After getting settled in Leuven, I wanted to get to know my host city and its community in more depth, while helping others and having fun. Volunteering with STC seemed to be the perfect match! During my first project, I painted at Seniorama and later, I did gardening and helped at MAAKBaar. Recently, I took part in big events like the refugee walk or the world cycling championship.
My experience with STC Leuven has not only been fun but enriching. I feel volunteering is a way of giving back all the great things Leuven has offered me. In addition, I can be in touch with people whose initiative and dedication keeps inspiring me. For all these reasons and much more, I encourage you to discover volunteering!
