The Peace Movement Leuven organises an event to welcome new international students. At the 8th of May the carillon of Park Abbey will play international peace songs.
With this event the movement wants to create awareness amongst students about initiatives that promote peace ideals such as: the connection between cultural activities and social reconciliation; a worldwide network of Mayors for Peace working at the level of cities and municipalities to promote disarmament and peace initiatives, or the peace role of women in conflict areas and home.
Serve the City supports this initiative and offers some helping hands to set up the venue and serve refreshments. This way we support peace in a very practical way. Do you want to join? Save the date in your calendar!
