All the volunteering opportunities that you can imagine at your fingertips, literally! ServeNow is Serve the City’s app for volunteers. Thanks to this app, volunteers can easily register for shifts of our projects, message project leaders, and even cancel their registration when a last-minute issue comes up.

Serve the City is always on the lookout for new ways of making volunteering easy and accessible to everyone, and was that wish to explore new ways of promoting projects that lead us into launching, on October 23rd 2020, our app ServeNow. ServeNow makes volunteering the simplest experience ever: you just need to go to your phone, select the project you like, and register for a shift. Easy-peasy!

And that’s not all. This ground-breaking app also allows you to check the latest news about our projects, events, and volunteering needs. All at the tip of your fingers!

Are you a project leader? We also thought of you. You will be able to check in advance the number of volunteers attending your project and their names on the app.

What is ServeNow

ServeNow is Serve the City’s app for volunteers. Thanks to this app you can:

  • check our weekly projects and monthly volunteering opportunities,
  • register for shifts,
  • contact project leaders,
  • and cancel your registration if a last-minute event comes up!

Download the app on https://www.servenow.app/ (available in both the Apple Store and the Play Store).

I cannot contact project leaders on the app

If you still see the button to the volunteer orientation although you have already done it, please contact us to leuven@servethecity.be

If you can see the button allowing you to contact project leaders but an error message appears, please contact us to feedback@servenow.app.

How long would it take the project leader to answer my message

Project leaders are volunteers that answer project requests during their free time. They may take some days (even a week, sometimes) to answer your message. Please, be patient.

If you have not received an answer from the project leader after a long wait, please contact us to leuven@servethecity.be

Where I can check the shifts I am registered for

You will see all the shifts you are register for on the Home page on the app. You can cancel your registration for the shift by clicking on it and then, on the button “Cancel”.

Can I change the email address linked to my ServeNow account

You can change your email address in “Profile”, by clicking “Edit” and modifying the field “Email address”. Remember to save your changes by clicking on “Save” in the right upper corner of the screen.

How can I check the hours I have volunteered

You can the volunteering hours that you have completed only after the project leader mark you as present on the app. You can see your hours in your “Profile”.

I am missing volunteering hours on my profile

You can the volunteering hours that you have completed only after the project leader mark you as present on the app. If you are sure the project leader mark you as present already but you do notsee the hours yet, please contact leuven@servethecity.be

How can I modify my contact information

You can modify your information on “Profile”, by clicking on “Edit” at the right upper corner of your screen. Remember to save your changes by clicking on “Save”, at the right upper corner of the screen.

How can I change my password

You can change your password in your “Profile”. Click “Edit” on the right upper corner of the screen, and go to the botton of the page. There you will need to write your new password  on the fields “Password” and “Confirm password”. You will need to write the new password in both for the change to be effective.
